Our intention for today was to pick up our boxes from the post office and then head out to trail. But some delays caused us to be in town late, so we decided to nix the trail thing and enjoy a town day.
Jack, our nephew, made joe and I bracelets from the seashells he found while on vacation in st George, he very thoughtfully sent us a sweet gift. We love them and wear them everyday!
And Elie from my old job at Harman sent me a giant box of yummy food and goodies! We already devoured the freeze dried ice cream- it was delish! She’s an avid hiker in New York and expressed interest in thru hiking- I think I’ve nearly got her convinced. ;)
Thank you Elie! The box was so good, it helped us out for over a week on trail!
We made our way over to the Hiker Hut where PCTers can stay at a trail angels place for a small fee- there we did laundry, showered and hung out with other hikers. Later we grabbed a few drinks and food with Firekeeper in town.
